Paper filter for cartridge pump
The Intex cartridge filter pump, available in the ondaFlo catalog, is an excellent choice for smaller garden pools. The filter medium in this pump model is an Intex type A paper filter.
The filter is made of thick and heavy paper with numerous micro-holes. This designed filter cartridge traps all, even very fine, impurities.
The cartridge pump filter can be removed and rinsed under running water (e.g., with a garden hose) to remove accumulated dirt. The manufacturer recommends replacing the filter with a new one approximately every 2-3 weeks (depending on the degree of pool usage).
Ecological filter medium for sand pump
The Krystal Clear pump from Intex is the best choice for medium and larger home pools. The model available in the ondaFlo store's offer is very easy to use and adapted to three filter media. The customer can choose: quartz sand, filter glass, or special Intex filter balls.
We particularly recommend the ecological filter balls from Intex. Compared to other media, this medium is inexpensive and very efficient. One pack of balls (500 g) replaces 18 kg of quartz sand. Depending on the degree of contamination, the balls can be rinsed or washed (according to the manufacturer's recommendations).
The balls are made of synthetic fiber with high filtration capacity, resembling cotton wool. The microporous fibers perfectly retain even fine impurities, and the spherical shape maximizes the filtration surface and retention capacity. Moreover, the low weight of the medium ensures lower pressure, and consequently – lower operating power of the filter pump.
