Drop-Stitch Pool - price and quality. What is worth paying for?

Rectangular ondaFlo 3 × 2 m garden pool standing upright beside a building

Two garden pools may look similar, have comparable dimensions, and be made using Drop-Stitch technology, yet still differ significantly in price. Why? Some of the most important differences are difficult to see in a photo. They include the quality of the materials, precision of manufacture, testing, and the inspections the product undergoes before shipping.

At ondaFlo, the quality of our pools is based precisely on these elements. We explain what affects their price and what to look out for before buying so that you can compare offers consciously.

Safety confirmed by testing

We put safety first. From the product development stage and the specification of raw materials, we work with specialized testing laboratories. This cooperation includes assessing the safety of the construction, the properties of the materials used, and testing for the presence of substances subject to chemical restrictions. The test results form the basis for verifying the adopted material and construction solutions.

ondaFlo pools have been tested for compliance with the applicable EN standards concerning garden pools, including safety of use, leak tightness, structural strength, markings, and warnings. These statements are backed by specific tests and documented results.

The materials used in the pools have also been tested for the presence of harmful substances, including phthalates restricted under the REACH Regulation. The results confirmed compliance with the criteria covered by the tests performed.

Before buying, it is worth checking whether the product has been tested for safety of use and the presence of harmful substances. Tests relating to EN standards and REACH restrictions for the substances tested are worth considering alongside price, appearance, and dimensions.

In a pressurized product, workmanship is crucial

A Drop-Stitch pool must simultaneously maintain air pressure in its walls and ensure the leak tightness of the water-filled basin. This is compounded by water pressure and loads during use. It is a demanding construction in which workmanship directly affects how the entire pool functions.

PVC specifications, connection precision, the quality of adhesives used in bonded joints, and the correct installation of valves all matter. Even a minor shortcoming can affect the leak tightness of the entire pool.

At ondaFlo, we select PVC from trusted manufacturers. Surface preparation, the precision of joining components, and allowing the time required for successive production stages all affect the final result. We do not want to reduce costs by compromising on material quality or workmanship.

A leak that prevents the pool from maintaining the correct pressure rules out proper use of the pool until the problem has been resolved.

However, not every change in pressure indicates a leak. Air temperature also affects it, so pressure checks and adjustments should be carried out in accordance with the instructions.

Quality control deliberately extends production

At ondaFlo, we use extended, multistage quality control, including 24-hour pressure testing of every pool. This deliberately lengthens the production process and increases its cost. It allows time to detect irregularities that may not be visible immediately after inflation.

When it comes to leak tightness and workmanship, we do not compromise. The price of ondaFlo pools results from the requirements we set for materials, production, and inspection of the finished pool. Maintaining this standard requires appropriate investment.

Instructions and markings also demonstrate product preparation

A pool prepared for sale also includes the information provided to the user. ondaFlo products have markings and warnings on the pool, packaging, and in the user manual.

We adapt instructions and safety information linguistically to the customer's market. Customers should understand how to prepare the ground, inflate the pool, use it correctly, and store it after the season.

Preparing instructions, translations, and markings is part of the work involved in developing a product. Before buying, it is worth checking whether the information needed for use is available. Clear information helps prevent mistakes, but it does not replace following the rules of use or supervising children.

Check who is behind the product

When comparing offers, ask about the warranty terms, how to submit complaints, and after-sales service. Also check where the warehouse or distribution center is located, where the goods are shipped from, and which company is responsible for the product.

ondaFlo's registered office and distribution center are located in Poland. We ship all goods from here. This means that a specific company responsible for your order and after-sales service stands behind the pool you purchase.

Based on our customers' most frequently asked questions, we have prepared video materials that you receive after purchasing a pool. They show pool preparation, installation, and the correct connection of the system. This allows you to see each step and carry it out more easily at home.

We prepared them so that your ondaFlo adventure would be simpler and more enjoyable from the very beginning. Less time wondering how to do something, and more time enjoying your own pool.

We also tested durability in practice

We subjected our largest ondaFlo pool, Ø4.5 × 1.2 m, to an unusual test involving a high-performance jet ski with approximately 200 HP. At the controls was Krzysztof Paździur, a three-time Polish freestyle jet ski champion.

The construction took impacts from waves, pressure from the propulsion stream, and contact between the machine and the walls. After the test, the seams remained undamaged, the pool had not lost pressure, and it was still fit for use.

This was an experiment involving a specific unit and went beyond the product's intended use. It does not replace testing and does not mean that the pool is intended for such activities. Do not repeat this test at home. We described the test in our article about the pool and the jet ski.

Proper protection during delivery

ondaFlo pools weigh between 30 and 90 kg, so we ship them on pallets. A pallet provides stable support and reduces the risk of damage to the packaging and its contents during transport. This is an additional logistics cost that we include in order to properly protect the pool on its way to the customer.

We ship pools from Poland to: Poland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Italy. Delivery of pools to these countries is free of charge under the terms described in our shipping policy.

What are you paying for when you choose ondaFlo?

The price of a pool includes the quality of the materials, precise manufacturing, testing, leak-tightness inspections, and preparation for safe use. Transport and after-sales service are also included. These are the elements worth considering when assessing value for money.
